Dr Peter Puhl MB BS, FRACP
Consultant Neurologist & Neurophysiologist
Dr Puhl graduated in Medicine at the University of Kiel, Germany in 2000. After completing his basic physician’s training in Sydney he commenced neurology training at the University of Lübeck in Germany for 2 years where he gained experience in general and acute neurology and in the use of ultrasound in stroke and movement disorders.
He returned to Australia to complete his neurology training, followed by a Fellowship in Neurophysiology at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at the Concord General Repatriation Hospital in Sydney.
Dr Puhl is a general neurologist with sub-specialty interests in clinical neurophysiology, headaches as well as stroke and movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease. He is experienced in the use of botulinum toxin in a variety of neurological disorders including chronic migraines, dystonia, axillary and palmar hyperhidrosis as well as post-stroke spasticity.
Dr Puhl is the Head of the Neurology Department at the Sydney Adventist Hospital and Consultant Neurologist at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital and the Northern Beaches Hospital. He is a clinical lecturer at the Sydney Adventist Hospital Clinical School (SAHCS) of The University of Sydney.
